More Chorese!!

A couple of days ago I wrote about taking chores to the extreme. I put a board up with envelopes holding cash. On the envelope was the job that my kids needed to accomplish in order to take the cash. I was out $15.00 the first time–and yesterday I was out $18.00! I would just like to say–for that $18.00 I got a spotless house and 3 loads of laundry done! Can you imagine! My kids just eat this up!

I’ve started to incorporate this into the daily habits that I would like my kids to start. Showering nightly, reading their scriptures, brushing their teeth and going to bed on time–people would probably think I’m crazy to “bribe” my kids to do these things. But you know what–I’m just working on habits. Once they are instilled–the cash won’t be necessary any more–and my kids will be better off for it!
