House Hunt!!

I am amazed how you can look at a home online–choose your favorite, and then a couple of standbys. Then when you get to the homes–your standbys become the favorite–and the ‘to die for house’ is no longer in the running. We went to look at 5 houses yesterday. The fifth one was thrown in because the second choice favorite of mine disappeared yesterday-which means that they probably closed on it–had they not–after seeing #5–I would have taken my original second choice!!

The first three homes are currently still in the running. The fourth home was my favorite–but not any more–and the fifth one–I just wanted to see to get a picture of what the other home had looked like! If we were to choose today–it would come down to either a grey colonial with a pool and hot tub–and great curb appeal—or a blue one–with strange curb appeal–but beautiful on the inside! The blue one is priced at $252K, but the owners are willing to work with us if we need to–the colonial is priced at $260K and is beautiful. The key to the colonial being my favorite—the laundry room is on the main floor! I know that sounds lame–but it works for me!! We’ll talk more with the mortgage guy today–and make our decision in the coming few days! When the decision is made–we’ll put up some pictures!!
