I had to go pick Blake up from summer camp today. She had gotten another 4 year old to help her with her sun screen and it had ended up in her eyes. The counselors rinsed her eyes out twice-but they were getting terribly red, and Blakey was in that mood when you don’t feel good and you need mom! So I went and got her and brought her home. I laid her across the kitchen counter with her head hanging in the sink. Then I used warm water to rinse them out again. After that I put some “eye allergy” drops in her eyes. She screamed because it stung so badly. I felt so bad thinking I had done something to make it worse. Not 2 minutes later she was running around back to normal her eyes white as normal–and not bothering her at all. I’m sure I did the right thing by using the drops–it was just sad to see the reaction from the sting that comes with them.
