What Are We Doing??

Well, today is the day!! We are putting an offer in to buy the house. We don’t even have a house payment yet–and wouldn’t you know-I’m up at 4 in the morning with a nervous stomach–is this what I have to look forward too?

I remember waking up in the night with a stressed stomach wondering where the next mortgage payment was going to come from–working in the ‘hotel and resort’ business in the dessert it was feast or famine. Most summers my husband could take the entire month off of work and be just fine. The problem-we didn’t get paid then-so it was rough going for awhile. Then they gave him a promotion and put him on salary–which was nice-but then we went from having a mortgage payment and a half per pay check-with nothing in the summer–to not even having a mortgage payment in one paycheck all year round. It was so hard-and I really don’t want to go back to that.

So I’m sitting here with an acid stomach wondering if we are really doing the right thing!
