Power Outages At The Restaurant!!

With all of the terrible weather yesterday my husband’s restaurant lost power. It was nice because it meant he should get home early because they had to close–but he didn’t get home any earlier at all. They had to purchase 200 lbs. of dry ice to put in the coolers and the freezer just to keep $1000’s of dollars worth of ribs and other meats viable. One of his managers went in to check on the temperatures in the middle of the night. The coolers were toast, but the freezers were fine. So they will spend today dumping out all of the spoiled food in the coolers and trying to get their side dishes back up before the restaurant opens at 11 a.m.

The news just said that a quarter of a million people are still without power–if his restaurant is counted among that group–he will be home really early!!
