Starting Homeschooling!!

Today was my first day homeschooling Blake. I think it’s funny that we call it that, because it makes it sound so much bigger than what it is. You see, she’s in Pre-K, so it’s not even a requirement that she be in Preschool, but for her–it’s a nice way to make sure she’s ready for school plus spending some quality time everyday with Mom. Since it isn’t a state requirement, there is no curriculum to follow-so it’s really just working on the basics for now. Today she worked with letter magnets arranging them from A-Z. She knows the beginning letters and she knows the ending letters–but the middle letters she struggled with. We worked on a couple of workbook pages, colors and shapes–then back to letter writing–3 lines of the letter A. Then she and Barrett got to relax at the table with the Play-doh. It went really well, and she adores it! There may not be the social interaction that comes with the normal Preschool–but honestly, out of all four of my kids–she needs it the least!
