Before we moved here–well, farther than that really–I was able to keep my kids on a pretty good schedule–I could keep track of their homework and notes home for the teacher–or library books. My mornings weren’t so crazy as they are now–mind you, school starts this year, the same time they were getting out of bed last year–so it may just be the fact that my mind doesn’t function well before 8 am.
Grayson had a library book at home for three weeks! We found it 2 days before it was due the second time and I asked him to put it in his backpack to at least get it to school. He didn’t, and it was misplaced–again! How does that happen? There is NO clutter in this house—everything is put away–and you can see everything that is out. Where did this book disappear to? Well, Barrett got ahold of it, of course, and it was correctly put in a backpack. Sadly, it was his Wiggles backpack rather than Grayson’s Chicago Bears one. So finally last Wednesday he was able to turn it in and check another one out. Sadly–I’m not sure he’s ever brought that book home. Or let me say–I’ve never seen the book, I’m HOPING he’s never brought it home!!
We are going today to purchase “launch pads” (see FlyLady.com, I had these before the move–and I don’t have them now–I’m hoping that’s the only problem!!
