Bad Dentist!!

Well, not really a bad dentist–but I do in fact, have to have a root canal. They cost around $474 after insurance! Are they nuts? I have four kids with birthdays and Christmas between now and January 1st! There is no money left over for such frivolities as teeth!

Turns out that the right lower back molar lost a piece of itself–I bit down into my food–and found a shard of glass–I was pretty sure I’d chipped a tooth-but it didn’t hurt, so I figured I really must not have. Nope–tooth chipped–cavity sets in–big gaping hole (not really) and now I need a root canal and a crown! I’m terrified! In 36 years I think I’ve had eight cavities–so this new one is not only a surprise–but the fact that it is so bad–is quite the shock!

So, root canal–$500. Crown — $500–That brings 1 tooth to $1000–there is just no way that this is possible anytime in the near future!!
