Here is my gang! Aren’t they so cute? Well, the two in the middle anyway! Jake (the skeleton) had a mask that changes colors. It was really cool. Grayson was thrilled with his scream costume–although both boys quickly grew tired of their masks. I think there will be a moratorium on masks from now on. Blakelynn wanted to be a princess–so of course, that’s what she is. Barrett was open to just about anything, but was thrilled with his Elmo costume.
It was the first Halloween that Barrett really knew what was going on. He would run to the house to be the first to ring the doorbell–and by golly–if you didn’t answer within 2.5 seconds of that first ring…you got another one, and another one! I think we cured him of that one by the end of the night. His Trick R Treat was pretty darn impressive as was his thank you after they gave him something. Then as he began his run to the next house his ‘You’re Welcome” was priceless!
I didn’t like how they moved day light savings back to give the kids a little more light while trick r treating (really to preserve energy–but hey, saying it was for the kids was nice)–but it honestly made it harder to trick r treat. It’s just not trick r treating during the daylight hours. Plus, you know which people are giving out candy and which aren’t because of their porch lights–there were no porch lights at 5 pm–cause it was bright as day out there!
